Our Vision

Our Vision

Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.

Hab 2:2-3

The Vision of Fresh Fire Ministries

The Vision of Fresh Fire is to Disciple Nations. The call of Jesus for every believer is first as a disciple. Many believers identify themselves as members of churches or by their ministerial calling. But the fundamental call of the Lord is as a disciple, just as he called the 12 Apostles first as disciples.

Who is a disciple?

In today’s terminology, the term disciple can be compared to an apprentice. An apprentice is a person who is learning a job by working for someone who already has skills and experience. If we consider that Jesus took in people, who had no idea of ministry and lived with them, taught them and sent them out to practice what He Himself did, we understand how He worked with them to make them His disciples. These people later turned the world upside down by making disciples all over the world.

Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Mat 4:19

1. A disciple follows his discipler. He learns from someone who disciples him.

2. A disciple is a fisher of man. A disciple’s main job description is as a fisher of man. He fishes for men to  make them disciples of Jesus Christ.

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Mat 28:18-20

3. A disciple makes other disciples – leading them to baptism, teaching them and making them fishers of man.

And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 2Ti 2:2

Paul reminds his disciple Timothy to teach what Timothy has heard from Paul to other faithful men who are able to teach others.

4. A disciple is faithful.

5. A disciple is able to teach others.
